Booking Accommodation & Board

QUBS Staff are ready to assist you with your next event, to host meetings, field courses, retreats, conferences or workshops.  Choose from either of our two available campuses, the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre (ELEEC) or the Opinicon Lake Campus.  Each campus provides a unique picturesque setting with space to explore.  Please email qubs@queensu.ca for more information, seek a quote and confirm your preferred dates.

QUBS is proud to be family-friendly for researchers and event attendees.  Families are welcome and we offer a 50% board discount for children under 12 years of age.  Youth accommodations are free when staying with an adult guardian.

Pets are not permitted overnight at QUBS Opinicon Lake campus (Queen’s Point) during the active field season (May–September), except for approved service animals. The Hughson farmhouse, located 15 minutes from the main facilities, is the only pet-friendly accommodation during this period.

In the quieter winter months (November–April), pets are welcome in Phelan and Ironwood cottages. All animals must be leashed (maximum six feet) and supervised outdoors, with waste properly disposed of. Noisy or aggressive dogs are not permitted.
