Friends of QUBS Meeting- Education

Tuesday, August 21st, 6:30pm

We are fortunate to have a strong community supporting the Queen’s University Biological Station (QUBS). We are initiating a ‘Friends of QUBS’ group for community members to become involved with a variety of QUBS projects, including assisting in the Fowler Herbarium with digitizing our legacy scientific data, educational programs, and stewardship.  Help us to build and strengthen our QUBS community and become an active member!

We plan to hold our next meeting on...

Tuesday, August 21st at 6:30pm

Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre

1500 Hewlett-Packard Lane, Perth Road Village (directions)

Come sample some of our education programs and learn about some of our local bird and fish species. We will also show you our new citizen science project that will start this fall. This project will involve netting and angling Largemouth Bass to tag for a population monitoring project. Feel free to bring your fishing rod.

All are welcome to come anytime after 5pm. You can bring food to make dinner in our kitchen/BBQ or bring a bathing suit to go for a swim or paddle.
