Non-Queen’s researchers
We have traditionally had a much higher charge for non-Queen's researchers for the simple fact that Queen's University provides a substantial subsidy to support the station. In a previous year (2016) we tried lower facility rates for non-Queen's users to reward the loyalty of long-term users and encourage new users. While we do have financial challenges at QUBS we will continue this policy in 2019.

| Post-Departure Clean Up Fee | Post-departure clean up fees will be invoiced to Researchers based on staffing and time required. To avoid being charged cleanup fees, Researchers are encouraged to make sure research areas, and research and personal equipment are cleaned and stored prior to departure. |
Equipment Rental

Boat rental rates are based on the operator having a valid boater’s license and experience operating a comparable watercraft.
Small Domestic Vessel - Basic Safety (SVOP), required for pontoon boats carrying >5 and less than 12 passengers.
Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), required for boat rentals and pontoon boats carrying less than 5 passengers
